Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City
The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City was formed in 1999 to serve the bi-state metropolitan Kansas City area. The mission of the Arts Council is to strengthen and enrich the community through the arts by developing visibility, participation, support, information, education, and partnerships.
One product of the Arts Council is an online arts resource, ArtsLinks.org, which includes a searchable, long-term calendar, an arts database, and a special news section. The Arts Council has also piloted a Youth Arts based employment program, Studio 150, held in the Summer of 2000 & 2001.
Business Committee for the Arts, a program of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City is designed to educate, motivate and recognize business support for the arts in the Greater Kansas City area.
