The Zimmer Companies, founded in 1948, is a group of companies in Kansas City created to meet the total commercial real estate needs of large and small firms. The Zimmer Companies key service areas include: Brokerage; property management; and development management.

Brokerage
Zimmer is adept at managing either side of a brokerage transaction - representing the buyer or seller, lessor or lessee. One of Zimmer's keys to success is its comprehensive understanding of the market. Through sophisticated databases and well-established information networks, Zimmer representatives are able to access a wide array of data on available property. Investment software allows the company to financially model investment returns for clients. Whether it's the lease of a 2,000 square foot office, or the sale of a 2,000,000 square foot industrial building, Zimmer meets the needs of valued clients time after time.

Property Management
Zimmer provides professional property management services to individuals, businesses and institutional investors and is dedicated to providing quality day-to-day management to clients. Currently, Zimmer manages approximately 4,000,000 square feet of office and industrial buildings throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area and the Midwest. These properties represent over 1,300,000 square feet of office buildings, 950,000 square feet of office/warehouse and technology buildings, and over 200,000 square feet of light industrial buildings. Zimmer also manages six major business parks in greater Kansas City, comprising over 1,290 acres of developed land.

Development Management
Third party development management, or program management, has become prevalent across the United States as an opportunity for real estate owners or business operators to outsource the management of large, complicated or specialized development projects. Also called an owner's representative, the development manager provides a range of services tailored to the specific needs of the owner of the project, that may include site evaluation and acquisition, local regulatory approvals, budgeting, scheduling, financial analysis, procurement, sourcing funds, project accounting and project management of the construction phase
